December 2011 Zinke launched their new swim line collection at the New Museum in NYC. The Wooden Visors were there too! Here are some pictures.

The making of Stars & Stripes

Today I visit the Wereld Wijven workshop in Dordrecht. I had a look at the production of the Stars & Stripes Pillows. Wereld Wijven is a sustainable project set up by Intermezzo in 2009. Four days a week there are working 20 women on different kind of interior products. The intention of the project is to find a modern form of traditional craftsmanship and improvement in women of different cultures. They work together with different kind of dutch designers and I am one of them. The pillows are looking great!

Bag collective Bags Now presents an overview of the work of several designers from Arnhem that all focus on handmade production. The collective consists of well known names and new talent. Heleen van der Meer, Helga Toppet, Karin Gesink, Ilvy Jacobs, Janneke Peters, Nikki Giling, Marielle Willems, Malou Poelmans, Carmen Gloudemans, and Charlotte Evers (EEF Bags) will be exhibiting their work.
